General Settings

The General tab contains foundational settings that control how the lens configurator behaves across your entire store, how customers contact you about prescriptions, and how you communicate with your optical lab.

These settings control the basic behavior and display format of prices throughout the configurator.

The symbol displayed before all prices in the configurator (e.g., £, $, €). This setting is independent of WooCommerce’s currency settings and only affects the SpecCart configurator interface.

  • Default: £
  • Maximum length: 5 characters
  • Example: $, , CHF, kr

Number of decimal places displayed for all prices in the configurator.

Options:

  • 0 — Displays whole numbers only (e.g., £50)
  • 1 — Displays one decimal place (e.g., £50.0)
  • 2 — Displays two decimal places (e.g., £50.00) — Default

When enabled, the lens configurator will be automatically available on all products. When disabled, you must manually enable the configurator for each product in the Product Data > SpecCart tab.

  • Default: Enabled
  • Can be overridden: Yes, on individual products

Typical use cases:

  • Enabled — If most of your products are prescription lenses
  • Disabled — If only a subset of your catalog supports custom lens configurations

  • Default: Watch our helpful video
  • Appears: In the bottom bar of the configurator on every step
